Kyle Thomas Richardson age 33, a father, a son, a brother, a friend passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2020.

If you knew Kyle, you knew that he was unique. He wasn't afraid to go against the status quo and he fought to find a deeper meaning of life. He asked questions and he stood up for what he believed in. He didn't buy into materialism, consumerism, and the riches of this life that many of us so easily fall into every day. It was because he was so spiritual and deep. He had a love for music and art- and just go ahead and step aside in the kitchen, because he was an excellent chef! Kyle had a sweet, soft side about him- and if he loved you, you could feel it.

I cannot think of my childhood without thinking of growing up with Kyle and his sister Kristen and my sister, Kathryne. And it didn't matter that he had to hang out with all "the girls" -- he fit right in playing dress up and Mario Kart like the rest of us. We were all blessed to have a super awesome big sister, Anitra, because we all kind of got a bonus mom out of the deal and she was the connecting piece who brought us all together and made us not only friends, but family.

I grew up always thinking Kyle was so cool. And he was. He was always in the know on what new rock music was out and he regularly blasted the oldies and classics he grew up on. Our childhood was wonderful with our little clan.

Those that knew Kyle knew that he fiercely loved his son Caleb, and his son fiercely loved him back. Kyle said, and I quote, "I am so thankful that I have such an amazing son. He is my everything, he is my world. He's the greatest gift this life has ever gave me." Above anything else Kyle had ever been or any title he had ever received, his favorite one was being called "dad." He wore that title with so much pride and with a smile on his face. Whether playing on a slip and slide in the backyard, taking him to the fair with the family, or just chilling on the couch, Kyle loved spending time with his little buddy.

Kyle was fiercely loved by his mom. I find it no accident that God orchestrated Lisa to be Kyle's mother, because there are not many mothers out there who can love like she has. She believed in Kyle when others may have lost hope. She encouraged him when others may have wanted to give up. She gave grace and love till it hurt.

Kyle was loved dearly by his father John. As a little boy Kyle was his little buddy playing t-ball and fishing. They would tinker on Kyles truck as a teenager (as long as dad could get him to stick around) and have talks about life.By far Johns fondest memory is when Kyle was saved. Dad always reminded him to pursue God. That is where he would find peace and direction.

I personally believe that God pursues the hearts of his children. He reveals Himself in ways only He can. I'll never forget this story Kyle shared with us shortly after he moved back home in 2012. One night while out with his friends, his glasses broke-- like broke beyond repair. And Kyle truly needed his glasses to see... so he was pretty upset and worried about how he was going to get new glasses. For those of you who wear glasses, you know that you don't just walk in a store and find a cheap pair of glasses that just happen to fit and ones you can actually see out of. You have to get your eyes checked, get the prescription, pick out frames, etc. etc. So anyways, Kyle was walking, worried, praying.. how was he going to get those much needed glasses.. He looked up and there HANGING in a tree was a pair of glasses... he got them and slid them on..And wouldn't you know they fit his face and the prescription wasn't too weak, it wasn't too strong, it was just right........ I believe that God pursues the hearts of his children, and reveals Himself in ways only He can in the moments we may need them most. And this moment gave Kyle a nudge letting him know that God was walking with him.

Kyles heart was so big.. That is why he felt pain so deep. And he desired to love and be loved.... free of judgement and expectations.. just love.. a love that is not found here on earth but only in the arms of our Heavenly father.

Survived by his precious son, Caleb Richardson; his parents, John (Betty) Richardson and Lisa (George) Earles; four sisters, Anitra (Ron) Lawson, Farrah (Brad) Barreth, Arrin (Ivan) Burgand; and Courtney (Jeff) Ligon; brother, Landon (Kristen) Stephens; and maternal grandmother, Janie Shoulders; Host of nieces and nephews also survive. He is preceded in death by his beloved sister, Kristen Richardson.
