Zak Hassan

Beloved son, brother, friend who will be missed more than he will ever know.  Vol State Student, veteran of many years of Hendersonville soccer, ping pong master.  A big man/boy with the kindest heart and gentlest spirit.  Would help all who asked.  Survived by mother Zareenah Hassan-McCormick, grandmother Nisha Hassan, dad Stephen McCormick, sisters Farzana Hassan, Rubinah Hassan, Meaghan DeRespini, brothers Sam McCormick, Ryan DeRespini, nephew and niece Sam and Matilda DeRespini.  Greeting him on the other side Auntie Peggy and Uncle Dick.

“Good-bye, Jon, my friend.” “Good-bye, Sully.  We’ll meet again.”  And with that, Jonathon held in thought an image of the great gull-flocks on the shore of another time, and he knew, with practiced ease that he was not bone and feather but a perfect ideal of freedom and flight, limited by nothing at all.  -  Richard Bach, Jonathan Livingston Seagull
