Mrs. Wilma Jean Benson age 72, of Hendersonville, TN, passed away on Sunday, September 9, 2018.
Mrs. Benson was born in Martinsville, VA, on October 16, 1945, the daughter of the late Glenn M. Johnson and Edith Wilma Hastings Johnson. She graduated from Isaac Linton High School and then attended MTSU. Mrs. Benson was a member of Bible Baptist Church for forty-six years. She enjoyed cooking for those in need and making flower arrangements. Mrs. Benson loved her family and being with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Raymond Benson, to whom she was married on December 3, 1966; a sister, Glynda Sue O'Neal; a daughter, Michelle (Kevin) Yohe; a son, Mark (Tracy) Benson; two granddaughters, Evelyn Jean Benson and Morgan Webb; and five grandsons, John Mark Benson, Jason, Jordan, Benson, and Collin Yohe.
A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, September 12, 2018, at 1:00 P.M., Hendersonville Funeral Home with Dr. Carl Frensley, Dr. Greg Mutsch, and Brother John Marks. Interment will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery.
Gathering of Family & Friends will be held Tuesday from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and Wednesday from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at Hendersonville Funeral Home.
The following gentlemen have been asked to serve as active pallbearers: James Bressoud, Wayne Spivey, Daniel Maurer, Mason Maurer, John Marks, Richard Webb, Joey Maurer, and Billy Quinn. The Honorary Pallbearers will be Joe Smith, Mike Crabb, Jim Stidham, Kevin Yohe, Jordan Yohe, Steve Craig, Mark Underwood, Billy Wayne Murphy, and Jerry Johnson.
