William Rich

William “Bill” Rich, age 97, of Hendersonville, TN, passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2022. Bill was born in Nashville, TN. He was the son of the late Albert and Pauline Beck Rich.

Bill is survived by his wife Jean Rich; four children; brother Paul Rich (Shirley) of Kingsport, TN and seven nieces. Bill was preceded in death by his brother Albert R. Rich Jr., and sister-in-law Margaret B. Rich.

A funeral service to celebrate Bill’s life will be held at 2pm on the afternoon of Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at Hendersonville Funeral Home. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the start of the service. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to Alive Hospice 1710 Patterson St. Nashville, TN. 37203.

Bill attended East Nashville High School in Nashville, TN. After high school Bill attended Georgia Tech University earning a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. He honorably served his country in the United States Navy from 1943-1952. Bill worked for Nashville Electric Service NES from 1962 until his retirement. He was a faithful member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church and was a member of the Engineers Association of Nashville.
