William Ray ‘Bill' Disney of Goodlettsville, TN passed away on Saturday, November 3rd, 2018. Bill was born May 23, 1942 in Cawood, KY, son of the late Walter Edward and Mary (Bledsoe) Disney.

After graduating high school, Bill served in the United States Air Force then earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Kentucky. He joined General Electric's management program and simultaneously earned his MBA from the University of Louisville which led to many years of divided loyalties during NCAA basketball tournaments. After many years of service with GE, Bill continued in other manufacturing manager positions until his retirement. In his later years he enjoyed keeping fit, reading, staying up to date on current events and, of course, spending time with his family.

On October 23, 1965 Bill was married to his loving wife of 53 years, Sandra (Wilson) Disney, who survives. Bill is also survived by his 2 children, Brian (Karen) Disney and Candice Disney (Rick) Magnus; grandchildren, Chase and Taylor Magnus; siblings, R.L. Disney, Nora Disney, Janice Disney and Charlene (Maynard) Day. Besides his parents, Bill was also preceded in death by his brothers Larry Disney and Gary Disney.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 10th from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. at Hendersonville Memory Gardens and Funeral Home (353 E. Main Street; Hendersonville, TN 37075) and also on Sunday, November 11th at 3 p.m. at St. Joseph of Arimathea Episcopal Church (103 Country Club Drive; Hendersonville, TN 37075) with funeral service to follow at 4 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Bill can be made to St. Joseph of Arimathea's music department and organ fund.
