William Christian

CHRISTIAN, William Granville - "Bill" Age 98 years , of Nashville, passed away September 21, 2011. Bill was a graduate of the University of Alabama, served in the United States Army in WWII, with his brothers, Harold and Charles. After being honorably discharged, he worked for the common wealth of Kentucky. He was the lead appraiser for the Army Corps of Engineer in Kentucky, Tennessee, and Mississippi. Bill was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Bell Christian; parents, Thomas and Inez Christian; siblings, Harold Christian, Marilyn Omer, Katherine Fletcher, and Charles Jean Christian. Survived by daughter, Laura Steve Imbornoni, of University Heights, OH; sister, Dorothy "Dot" John Stiles, of Charlotte, NC. A Life Celebration service will be on Saturday, September 24, 2011, at 11am, at the West Harpeth Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Sturgis, Kentucky. Visitation will be on Saturday from 10am until the service hour at WEST HARPETH.
