William Kent Billings was born September 16, 1958 in Benton, KY and left this world on October 27, 2014.

When he was about 8 years old he moved with his parents to Madison, TN where he grew up. He graduated from Madison High School in 1976. He was well known in the community for his athletic ability in basketball, football and baseball. He continued to play baseball at Volunteer State and UT Martin. After finishing college, his spare time was spent coaching youth sports, particularly baseball.

Kent was preceded in death by his parents Clure and Irene (Dishman) Billings. He is survived by his wife Ann Marie (Cash) Billings; son, Rhett Billings; daughters, Ariel and Rheanna Billings; brother, Carlos Billings (Adrienna); niece, Gretchen Etheridge (Troy); nephews, Matthew Billings (Jacki), Grant Billings; 4 great nephews, Caleb and Chase Etheridge, Rhys and Remi Billings and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A life celebration service will be held on Thursday at 1p.m. in the chapel of Hendersonville Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
