William Andrew “Andy” Hayes passed away peacefully on January 22, 2024. Mr. Hayes was a member of First Baptist Church Hendersonville where he taught Preschool Sunday School for 25 years. He was employed with FM Global as a Senior Loss Prevention Specialist for 33 years. He enjoyed being with his family and friends, playing pickleball, traveling, and going on strolls, as well as being an avid Auburn football fan. Mr. Hayes was the son of the late Joseph Earl and Andrea Linn Hayes.
Andy is survived by wife of 31 years, Shannon Hayes; daughter, Hailee Hayes and son, Jordan (Elizabeth) Hayes; brothers – Alan Hayes, John (Andrea) Hayes, and Jim (Melissa) Hayes; brothers-in-law - Kevin (Jane) Hamblin and Jim Hamblin; sister-in-law – Lisa Hamblin; many nieces and nephews who he loved dearly.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at First Baptist Church Hendersonville, 106 Bluegrass Commons Blvd, Hendersonville, TN with Dr. Bruce Chesser officiating. Interment will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery.
Active Pallbearers will be Matthew Hayes, Joey Hayes, Trey Hamblin, Cameron Hamblin, Brian Smith, Paul Ashley, Rusty Davis, Michael Pons, and Mark Wainner. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Walker/Tarpley Sunday School Class.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Hendersonville Preschool Department or the American Heart Association.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, and two hours prior to service time Wednesday at the church.
