Wanda Pigg Kizer, born July 9, 1953 in Austell, GA, passed away May 29, 2017 in Hendersonville, TN. Mrs. Kizer is preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Margaret Pigg. Survived by her husband, Danny Kizer and her brother, Gary Pigg (Mary) of Castallian Springs, TN. Also survived by her mother-in-law, Levis Kizer, brothers-in-law; Steve Kizer (Ruth) and Paul Kizer (Sylvia), sister-in-law, LeeAnn Kizer Henshaw (Jim), nephews; Michael Pigg (Amanda), Kevin Pigg (Mitzi), Kenneth Kizer (Donna), Clint Kizer (Vanessa), Brian Henshaw (Amy) and Jim Kizer, nieces; Erica Casey (Avery), Katie Corley (Alex) and Jeanette Jones (Chad), grandnieces & nephews; Katie Marie, Ella Grace, Evan and Kirsten Pigg, Kristen, Drake and Mia Kizer, Josh, Blake and Hannah Henshaw, Grace, Emma, Eli Casey and Aster Corley.
Mrs. Kizer, after receiving her Bachelor of Science in education from Western Kentucky University in May of 1993, she taught in Sumner County for 30 years where she served as president of the Tennessee Association of Middle Schools (TAMS), 1996-1997.
A Celebration of Life service for Mrs. Kizer will be held at Hendersonville Funeral Home on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at 11:00AM, officiated by Pastors Keith Parker, David Swanger and Charlie Thompson. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 31st from 2pm-4pm, 6pm-8pm and again one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Burial will be held at Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
