Walter Daniel "Danny" Cranford, a longtime resident of Hendersonville, died peacefully October 16th, 2024, after a long battle of Alzheimer's. Danny was born May 29, 1951 in Davidson County, Tennessee, to Herbert Cranford, Sr and Shirley Parrish Cranford. He was a member of the 1969 Maplewood High School graduating class and later in life worked at Wynn & Graff and the Metro Police Department as a security officer.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 7 siblings (Herbert Jr, Wayne, Linda, Gayle, Tommy, Sandra, and Glenn). Danny is survived by his wife Doris Birthright Cranford; children Amy Lowery and Tim Cranford, stepson Doug Graves; grandchildren Alex and Coleton Lowery, Brayden Cranford, Niki, Olivia and Sara Graves; and family-by-choice too numerous to name.
Danny loved God, his family, hunting, fishing and ALABAMA FOOTBALL.
Danny's visitation service will be held on Sunday, October 20th from 2-6pm, and his memorial service on Monday, October 21st at 12pm with visitation beforehand starting at 11:00am. Both visitation and memorial service will be conducted at Hendersonville Memorial Gardens (353. E. Main St., Hendersonville, Tennessee 37075). We enthusiastically invite you to wear Crimson Red in honor of Danny's love for Alabama football.
