Mrs. Virginia Rhea Crawford Wheeler age 83, of Hendersonville, TN, passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2020.

Mrs. Wheeler was born in Lebanon, TN, on May 26, 1937, the daughter of the late Dexter Crawford and Ella Potts Crawford. She enjoyed making baskets, ceramics, rugs, curtains, knitting, and was very talented with many other crafts. Mrs. Wheeler took a class at Vol State in decorating cakes. She was a member of the Shooting Stars Square Dancing where she enjoyed dancing with her husband. Mrs. Wheeler loved going to their cabin at Center Hill Lake, water skiing, fishing, camping, traveling, and yard sales. She will be remembered most for loving her family.

Survivors include her husband, Claudie Clay Wheeler, Sr; children, Claudie Clay Wheeler, Jr. (Krystal) and Vicki Joe Harmon; grandchildren, Constance Nicole Wheeler, Claudie Clay Wheeler, III (Iffy), Shawn Paul Thomas, Mindee Joe Harmon, and Erin Michelle Harmon; great-grandchildren, Sarah Savannah Thomas, Rebecca Riley Thomas, Dylan Charles Lynn and Kaya Tiana Harmon; and three sisters, Mildred Phillips, Evelyn Steakley (Don), and Betsey Kirby (Joe). Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside and interment services will be held Saturday, October 17, 2020, at 2:00 P.M., Hendersonville Memory Gardens.

Gathering of Family & Friends will be held Saturday from 1:00 P.M. until the service hour at the graveside.
