Virginia Saunders Mundy, age 93, went to be with her Heavenly Father Saturday, September 29, 2018. She was born August 20, 1925 in Sumner County, Tennessee to the late Joe and Florence (Boone) Saunders. Virginia is also preceded in death by her husband, Grady Mundy and sister, Elizabeth Smith.

She is survived by her son, Dwight Mundy (Karen); daughter, Cherilyn Mundy Batten (Jimmy); granddaughters, Mary Mundy, Milly Ethridge (Adam)and Jeny Batten; grandson, Trent Batten; great grandsons, Lucas Proctor, Lenox Ethridge, Aiker Ethridge and Johnny Mac Hammontree; great granddaughter, Ava James Batten; and brothers, Joe William Saunders and Edward Thomas Saunders.

Virginia was a lifetime member of Saundersville Methodist Church and was very active with the VFW Auxiliary. She is remembered by her family as being a wonderful cook and baker. Virginia is famous for her Pineapple Cake, which won the hearts of many. She also enjoyed spending time gardening. For forty years, Virginia was a devoted worker at DuPont where she wore many hats. She is loved and cherished by her family, friends and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 3rd, from 12 -2 p.m. at Hendersonville Funeral Home. A life celebration will be held at 2 p.m. in the chapel with Mr. Jamie Steele officiating. Interment will follow at Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
