Vernon Kirby

Vernon D. Kirby, age 86, passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2022.  Vernon was born December 16, 1935, in Adams, TN to Morris and Virginia Kirby.

Vernon loved watching old TV shows, movies, pitching horseshoes, and bowling.  He loved to argue with family and friends and was known for his quote “What are you doing today, besides nothin?”  Vernon was a good guy in a crusty body.

Vernon is preceded in death by his parents; his wife Reba (Hawkins) Kirby; brothers Billy Kirby and Tommy Kirby; sisters Dorothy Cook and Peggy Baldesarri.  He is survived by his brothers Charles (LaVerne) Kirby, Robert (Rita) Kirby, and Roger (Sharron) Kirby; sister Sherry (Paul) O’Bryan; niece Lynn Kirby and numerous other nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 14, 2022, from 12pm-2pm at Hendersonville Funeral Home.  A Memorial Service will begin at 2pm with burial to follow at Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
