Ms. Vera Verda Baker, age 87, passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2019. She was born on July 30, 1932 in Raymond, Washington to the late Clarence Colin Bush and Hazel Annie Reed Bush. She is also preceded in death by her husband, David Paul Baker, Sr.
Vera, also known as "Bunny," was a very talented artist. She loved drawing and painting. She also enjoyed knitting and crocheting for her family and friends. She also collected numerous carousel horses, bunnies, and birds. She was a talented cake decorator and a tremendous cook. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend who will be truly missed.
Vera is survived by her sons, David Paul Baker, Jr. (Karen), Daniel Richard Baker, and Donald "Rusty" Baker; grandchildren, David Baker III, Elizabeth Ellen Baker, Laura Michelle Cantu, Vera Anita Baker, and Daniel Baker II; great- grandchildren, Harmoni Baker, Erin Musik, Chax Cantu, and Rose Henry-Baker.
A life celebration will be held at 1:30pm, Wednesday, October 16, 2019 in the chapel of Hendersonville Funeral Home with burial in Hendersonville Memory Gardens. Family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 5-8pm and again one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
