Vang Chomsavanh of Portland, TN, passed away on Saturday, August 24th, 2019 at the age of 71. Preceded in death by his parents; Onh Chomsavanh and Tanh Inthilatsavongsy, sisters; Am and Pan Inthilatsavongsy and brother, Phouthasack Lae Inthilatsavongsy. Survived by his wife, Vy Chomsavanh, children; Bounmy Don Chomsavanh, Phone Chomsavanh, Lae Vone Lindsey (Michael), Linda Chomsavanh (fiancée Daniel Netherland) and Johnny Chomsavanh, brothers; Lao Chomsavanh, Phimpa Inthilatsavongsy and Tok Inthilatsavongsy, granddaughters; Jazmyne Maniponh, Aylana Lindsey, Jaylin Chomsavanh, Mina Chomsavanh, Arielle Lindsey, Amaya Lindsey, Abrianna Lindsey and Dahlia Chomsavanh. Vang is also survived by many extended family and friends.

Vang was born on April 14, 1948 in Laos. He later moved to Tennessee and worked as a roofer with Don Kennedy Roofing where he retired. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, watching football and other sports. He loved being with his family and especially spending time with his granddaughters.

A celebration of life Buddhist ceremony will be held at Hendersonville Funeral Home on Saturday, August 31st at 12:00PM, followed by cremation. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday evening from 5:00PM-7:00PM.
