Tommy Huggins

Thomas Austin Huggins, Jr., age 79 of Hendersonville, Tennessee, passed away on October 31, 2021.

He was born in Nashville, Tennessee on May 18, 1942. He is preceded in death by parents, Thomas Austin Huggins, Sr., and Mary Ebbie Jackson Huggins, and sister, Betty Jean Huggins.

He is survived by wife, Kay Frances Vaughn Huggins; daughter, Kim Huggins; daughter, Stephanie (Mark) Thomas; granddaughter, Lexi Thomas; grandson, Austin Thomas; and great-grand-daughter, Charlie.

He was a wonderful and loving, son, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He also enjoyed boating, camping, traveling and spending time at his lake home.

He married Kay Vaughn in 1963. He graduated from Tennessee Tech University in 1965 with a degree in Business Management. He started working for Nationwide Insurance in 1965 where he later retired in 2010.

A Memorial Service will be held at Hendersonville Funeral Home on Friday, November 5, 2021 at 2 p.m. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the start of the service. A private graveside will be held at a later date.
