Survived by wife, Gail Dean Smothers; son, Grant Thomas Smothers Suzanne; grandchildren, Thomas Mann Smothers, Jere Murphy Smothers; father and step-mother, Autra and Peggy Smothers; brother, Donald Keith Smothers Julie; nieces, Elizabeth Jean Smothers, Emily Julia Smothers. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home with Mike Shelton officiating. Interment Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
