Thelma Regina Day, age 90 of Portland, TN, passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2018. Preceded in death by her parents, husband John Wiley Day, Sr. of 45 years, along with 10 siblings. Survived by her children, Peggy Retallack (Tom), James Harold Day (Shirley) and John Wiley Day, Jr. (Sheila), 9 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 4 great great-grandchildren. Thelma is also survived by many extended family and friends.

Thelma was born on August 26, 1927 in Calvin, OK. She was a member of The Church at Grace Park in White House, TN. Thelma enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and playing Solitaire and Bingo. Thelma was a gentle, spirited woman who was also very loving and happy. She had a childlike faith and was a strong believer in her Lord. Thelma will be dearly missed by her family and by all who knew her.

A Celebration of Thelma's life will be held graveside on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 2:00PM at Hendersonville Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at Hendersonville Funeral Home from 12:00PM until 1:45PM.
