Age 60 of Hendersonville passed away on May 6, 2015.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James Edward and Willie Maxine Owens of Hendersonville since 1961; and his grandparents, Otis and Viola Patterson and others from the Smithville, Tennessee area.
He is survived by his sister, Regina Owens (Dr. Jack) Featheringill; nephew, Kemp Featheringill (18); niece, Meredith Featheringill (17) of Birmingham, AL, and his beloved female dog, Bruzier (2). Many relatives are still in the Middle TN area also.
Terry was a 1972 graduate of Hendersonville High School and attended Volunteer State in Gallatin. He was the owner of a local appliance repair business in Sumner, Davidson, and Williamson counties. Terry retired two years ago after more than 30 years of service.
Terry most enjoyed being a loving uncle to his niece and nephew. He celebrated their birthdays, holidays, and surprises with unique presents or entertainment. He was especially looking forward to his nephew, Kemp, starting college at Vanderbilt this fall.
Terry enjoyed hunting, camping, boating, fishing, attending NASCAR events and Rock n' Roll concerts in several states. He was a fan of the NFL, the Tennessee Titans, and Vanderbilt Commodores. Terry always shared his life with a dog that traveled with him.
He touched the lives of many people by his generosity and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Humane Society of Sumner County (16 Volunteer Drive Hendersonville, TN 37075).
A private service will be held for Terry at Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
