Sue Eaton, age 67, passed away on Tuesday the 7th of February at Hendersonville Hospital. She was born July 3rd, 1949, in Nashville to Charles and Evelyn Colley. She was a graduate of Portland High class of 67'and graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 70'. She taught school in Sumner County in the cities of Portland and Hendersonville for 31 years. Sue touched many students' lives over those years and the parents of those children as well. Sue lived and loved life by serving and loving others, putting everybody above herself as only Christ would. She loved her family and all the special moments that those times could provide. She is survived by her father Charles Colley, husband Rick, son Tate, daughter-in-law Carrie, and granddaughter Autumn. Her mother Evelyn Colley and her grandparents Johnnie and Maudie "BumBummer" Harper predeceases her.

A Life Celebration service for Sue will be held at Hendersonville Church of Christ on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 10AM, officiated by Brother Clyde Head. Visitation will be held at Hendersonville Funeral Home on Friday, February 10, 2017 from 4PM-8PM and again, one hour prior to service on Saturday at the church. Burial will take place following the service at Restlawn Memory Gardens in Portland, TN.
