Steven Hicks, Sr.

Dr. Steven Patrick Hicks of Hendersonville, TN passed away July 26, 2015 at the age of 76 years.
Dr. Hicks is preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Cunningham. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Minnie (Greer); children, Jeanne (Bill) Peter, Steve (Wendy) Hicks; 4 grandchildren, Tabitha and William Peter, Luke and Grace Hicks; siblings, Frances Glass, Robert Hicks, Molly Aleman, Tommy Hicks, and a host of additional family and friends.
Steve was a graduate of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and served with Minnie as an IMB Missionary to Mexico City, Mexico for 31 years. In addition, he served as adjunct faculty at the Cuban Baptist Seminary in Havana, Cuba; Canadian Southern Baptist Seminary in Cochrane, and Southern Seminary in Louisville, KY, and Vol State Community College in Gallatin, TN.
The family will be receiving friends Wednesday, July 29th from 4-8PM at Hendersonville Funeral Home 353 Johnny Cash Parkway, Hendersonville, TN and Thursday, July 30th at Hendersonville First Baptist Church, 10-11AM with the funeral service to follow. Officiants will be Rev. Bruce Chesser and Rev. Ray Cleek.
Interment will be at Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
