Stephen Mason Hentz, 1949-2016. Steve was the son of the late Charles and Josephine Hentz of Nashville and Hendersonville. He grew up in Nashville and was a member of Carroll Street Methodist Church and was currently a member of 1st Baptist Church Joelton. Steve loved all things Harley Davidson and automobiles. He loved nothing more than riding his Harley, with his friend Larry. Steve graduated from Hume Fogg High School in 1969. He retired from Bell South in 2001. He proudly served in the Tennessee Air National Guard.
Steve is survived by his loving wife, Kim McMahan Hentz, daughter, Amy Parnell (Steve), step-sons; D.J. and Cary Bedwell, sisters; Becky Hentz Allen, father-in-law, Donald McMahan, brother-in-law, Andy (Jan) McMahan, aunts; Carolyn Hobbs and Kathryn Phifer, grandchildren; Zachary and Nicholas Parnell, Skyleigh and Pasleigh Bedwell, nieces; Brooke Allen and Meg McMahon (Jeremy).
Donations can be made to "Let the Children Come", 1st Baptist Church Joelton, 7140 Whites Creek Pike, Joelton, TN 37080.
A Life Celebration for Stephen will be held at Hendersonville Funeral Home on Saturday, September 3rd at 9:30AM, officiated by Brother Dave Royalty. Visitation will be held Friday, September 2nd from 5:30PM - 8:30PM. Interment will be held at Hendersonville Memory Gardens following the service.
