Mr. Stanley Lewis "Stan" Smith, age 53, of Nashville, TN, passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2020.

Mr. Smith was born in Nashville, TN, on May 29, 1967, the son of Winford Smith and Cenna Sissom Smith. He graduated from Vanderbilt University earning a Bachelor of Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Mr. Smith was employed with Change Healthcare as a Software Engineer. He enjoyed lifelong learning, cooking, swimming, creating music, science, nature, and traveling. Mr. Smith will be remembered most as a deep thinker with a kind heart and generous spirit, who loved his family and friends unconditionally.

In addition to his parents, survivors include a sister, Deborah Plante (Rob); brother, Gregory Keith Smith (Sabrina); and nieces and nephews, Kayline Smith, Jarod Williams, Rachel Williams, and Thomas Smith.

Gathering of Family & Friends will be held Monday, August 10, 2020 from 11:00 A.M. until the funeral hour at Hendersonville Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, August 10, 2020, at 2:00 P.M., Hendersonville Funeral Home with Rob Plante officiating. Interment will follow at Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
