Shirley Zimmerlee

Shirley Zimmerlee of Hendersonville, TN passed away Saturday, June 16, 2018 in Nashville, TN. Shirley was born June 18, 1933 in Nashville, TN to the late Everett and Willette (Davenport) McDaniel. Shirley lived in Hendersonville for over 60 years and worked for many years as a realtor in the Middle Tennessee area. In her spare time, she enjoyed boating with her family on Old Hickory Lake. On October 9, 1955 Shirley was united in marriage to her loving and faithful husband of 65 years, Paul Eugene Zimmerlee, who passed away on April 18, 2018. Shirley and Paul are survived by their 3 children, Kim Mitchell, P. Timothy Zimmerlee and Tony Zimmerlee; Grandchildren, D. Nicole Zimmerlee, David E. Mitchell, Sarah E. Mitchell and Michael A. Zimmerlee; great grandchildren, Maggie B. Johnston, Sophia E. Kirkpatrick, Julius Kirkpatrick and Blakeley Zimmerlee. She is also survived by her best friend of many years, Lily Johnson. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 from 4-5pm at Hendersonville Funeral Home (353 E. Main St; Hendersonville, TN 37075) where a celebration of life for Paul and Shirley will follow at 5pm, Rodrick Bryson officiating. Private burial will take place at a later date, Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
