Shirley Hunt

Shirley Ann (Rickard) Hunt, age 79 passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2022, with her loving family by her side.  Shirley was born on June 17, 1943, in Lynch, Kentucky to Arthur and Juanita (Johnson) Rickard.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Shirley was a strong Christian woman who loved the Lord and always found the “good” in everyone.  She loved cooking, travelling, and her family.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Juanita Rickard.  She is survived by her loving husband Tommy Hunt; children Donna (William) McEarl, Valarie (Craig) Furlong, and B.J. (Michele Flanagan) Scott; step-children Michael Hunt, Mark Hunt, and Shawn (Wendy) Hunt; grandchildren Will McEarl, Chris Briscoe, Heather Lawrence, Craig Furlong II, Harrison Furlong, Kierra Hackney, and Austin Hunt; great-grandchildren Michael Jacob, Raidyn, Blakely, Christina, Bryce, and Michael Tyler.  In addition, she is survived by her sister Wilma Denney and numerous extended family.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 23, 2022, from 12pm-2pm at Hendersonville Funeral Home.  A Celebration of Life will begin at 2pm at the funeral home with burial to follow at Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
