Age 95 of Hendersonville, passed away January 18, 2016. Mrs. Mellon was a homemaker and enjoyed painting and crafts. She had a special love of gardening, enjoying the outdoors and going to the lake. She especially loved to spend time at Dale Hollow every year. Mrs. Mellon was active in her church. She enjoyed physical activity despite her health problems, and participated in Tai Chi at the Methodist Church and water aerobics for many years.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Charles John Mellon; daughter, Janice Mellon (Paul Bowen); sons, Michael (Sandra) Mellon, and Kevin (Sarah) Mellon; grandchildren, Christina (Brad Berron) Payne, Michael (Amanda) Payne , Patrick Mellon and Kyle (Amanda) Mellon; great-grandchildren, Gunnar Payne, Ryan Peterson, Brayden Payne, and Cooper Payne.

A funeral mass will be held at 11AM, Monday, January 25, 2016, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. Visitation will be held from 10-11AM, Monday, January 25, at the church. Hendersonville Funeral Home 353 E. Main St. Hendersonville, TN.
