Sheila Gayle Toney

Sheila Gayle Toney, age 76, passed away in Hendersonville, Tennessee on November 11, 2024. She was born in Nashville, Tennessee on August 12, 1948. Sheila is preceded in passing by her husband, John “Jack” Toney and parents, Doris and Tommy Link. She is survived by children, Kimberly Toney, Mark White (Susan), Michael White (Lisa), and Bryan Toney (Laura); sister, Pamela Bechman; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Throughout her life, Sheila was devoted to her family and proved to be an excellent caretaker and homemaker. Her contributions as a loving wife and mother are among her proudest accomplishments, leaving a lasting mark on the lives of those she cared for. Sheila was known for her wonderful sense of humor, which brought warmth and joy to her family and friends. She had a passion for spending time with those she loved, particularly her grandchildren, with whom she cherished special moments during "Cousins Day". Her heart was always open to the laughter and companionship found in these gatherings. Additionally, Sheila enjoyed camping, finding peace and delight in the great outdoors alongside her family. She also loved admiring lighthouses and collecting ceramic lighthouses.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. with a one hour visitation being held prior to the service at Hendersonville Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in memory of Sheila.
