Sarah Louise Compton- age 81 passed away June 22, 2015.
Ms. Compton loved the Lord and was a lifelong member of Neely's Bend Church of Christ. When describing her, words such as humble, caring, affectionate, passionate and loving come to mind. During her working years, she was employed by General Electric Company in the accounting department. In her free time she enjoyed gardening, baking, knitting, reading the National Enquirer and John Grisham Novels, and watching the Atlanta Braves. Above all she loved her family, especially her grandchildren & great-great grandchild, who was known as her "Sweet Angel".
She is preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Sarah Conner; husband of 54 years, Claude Compton and brothers, Tom Conner, Jr. and Bill Conner.
She is survived by her son, Steve (Melissa) Compton; granddaughters, Stephanie and Jennifer Compton; great-granddaughter, Emma Compton and sisters, Nell Shellhorn and Debra Medford.
A life celebration service will be held on Thursday at 11am at Hendersonville Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 3-8pm and again on Thursday from 9-11am at HENDERSONVILLE FUNERAL HOME 353 Johnny Cash Pkwy Hendersonville, TN 37075 (615) 824-3855
