Sandra Brown Spry, age 74, went to her heavenly home on June 28, 2018.
Sandra was born in Sumner County, TN on August 8, 1943 to the late James Monroe Brown and Bessie Bolton Brown. She was a long time active member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church and helped during several events held at St. Joseph's School in Madison, TN, where her youngest son, Ashton, attended school.
Sandra was a lady who loved to serve others and spend time with her children and grandchildren. She was always eager to help others, no matter what had to be done, and always put her family and friends first before herself. She had an outgoing personality, and enjoyed talking to whomever she met as though she had known them for years. She lived for several years in Houston, TX and worked as an Administrative Assistant at New York Life Insurance. She loved football and was an avid fan of Texas A&M and, at times, longed to go back to her friends and family living in Texas.
She is survived by her husband, Dennis Wayne Spry, Sr. of 17 years; sons, Randall Eugene Reid (Debra), Michael Shane Reid, and Ashton Blake Spry; step-son, Dennis Wayne Spry, Jr; sisters, Sherry Brown Shipley, and Melissa June Brown; brother, Jimmy Brown, one nephew, three nieces, six grandchildren and, five great-grandchildren.
A gathering of Family and Friends will be held Monday, July, 2, 2018 at Hendersonville Funeral Home from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church from 11:00 - 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions be made to Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church Building Fund, 1729 Stop 30 Rd., Hendersonville, TN 37075
