Sandra Runquist

Sandra LeMoyne Runquist, age 45, passed away on February 27, 2023 in Nashville, Tennessee.  She was born on May 25, 1977 in Mobile, Alabama to Melita Darnell Browning and the late Robert Gary Browning.  LeMoyne is survived by her husband, Zachary “Zach” Nathanael Runquist; son, Jacob “Jake” Wyatt Runquist; daughter, Brooke Anna Runquist; mother, Melita Darnell Browning; and brothers, Bart Browning, Jason Browning, Chad Browning, and Reese Browning.

LeMoyne attended Metro Baptist School where she enjoyed playing volleyball and basketball, and after graduation worked at LifeWay Christian Resources in the customer service department. With her vivacious personality, she quickly excelled and was awarded “top customer service rep” several times. Shortly after high school, she completed a counseling internship with Grace Ministries Tennessee, which further sparked her passion of counseling and mentoring. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church, where she taught a teen girls Sunday School Class, helped with the Young Adults class, and was a counselor for youth trips and camp. In the several years before she was diagnosed with oral cancer, she used her creative talents to develop a home baking business called Brookies Cookies. This started as a way for a homeschool mom to teach her daughter about hard work and money, but quickly turned out to be a successful business. She made many new friends and customers in the process. LeMoyne had a vivacious personality and truly loved people. She will be most remembered for her beautiful smile and her love for the Lord.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 3, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Hendersonville Funeral Home 353 E. Main Street Hendersonville, Tennessee.  Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Hendersonville Funeral Home with Pastor Charles Simpson officiating.
