Caldwell, Sandra Gail "Sandy" - age 73 of Hendersonville, TN went to be with the Lord on January 18, 2014. Born in Knoxville, TN, Sandy was a woman of faith in Jesus Christ and very devoted to her family and church. She was a long-time member of First Baptist Hendersonville. Having a special love for children, Sandy taught at the First Baptist Church Mothers' Day Out program for 17 years.

The most important priorities to Sandy are her Lord and her family. Her moral and spiritual legacy will live on through her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, David E. Caldwell; Her children Gayle Blackburn (Allen), David E. Caldwell Jr. (Neoma); grandchildren, Justin Jacobs, Magan Hogan (Cody), Candace Blackburn, and Michael Caldwell.

Throughout her 14 year battle with cancer, she maintained a phenomenal normalcy to life. Sandy enjoyed her exercise group at the YMCA where she spent many early mornings in exercise and in fellowship with friends. Her strength and encouragement to make every day count will be missed.

A life celebration service will be held on Monday, January 20, 2014 with Fred Bracey and Dr. Bruce Chesser officiating at the Hendersonville First Baptist Church in the chapel at 1 p.m., visitation from 12 - 1 p.m. prior to the service. Entombment will follow at Hendersonville Memory Gardens & Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Garry Belt, Harry Carlton, Don Dickson, Perry Harper, Joe Reynolds, Ron Sine, Oakley Williams, and Dr. Gary Lethco. Honorary pallbearers: Bracey Sunday School Class.
