Mr. Sam Grisham age 74, of Hendersonville, TN, passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2018.

Mr. Grisham was born in Hardin County, TN, on November 15, 1944, the son of the late Lendon Lee Grisham and Melissa Gibbs Grisham. Sam served in the National Guard. He retired from SunTrust Bank as a Sales Manager in the mortgage division after many years of service and later became self-employed as a Home Loan Notary Closer. Mr. Grisham loved being with his family and always put them first. Sam was an avid football fan and enjoyed years at the park helping coach during the years Candace played softball and attending all the games while Jacob played baseball. In addition to his parents, Mr. Grisham was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Hopper; and a brother, Raymond Grisham.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Grisham; a daughter, Candace Watkins; a grandson, Jacob Benbow; a granddaughter, Macy Watkins; two brothers, Ken (Karen) Grisham and Claude Grisham; a sister, Sue Evans; and a sister-in-law, Becky Stanfill. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, December 28, 2018, at 2:00 P.M., Hendersonville Chapel with Greg Brasher officiating. Interment will follow at Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
Gathering of Family & Friend will be held Thursday from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and Friday from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at Hendersonville Funeral Home.

Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Sarah Cannon Cancer Center 230 25th Avenue North Nashville, TN 37203.

The following gentlemen have been asked to serve as active pallbearers and are requested to meet by 1:30 P.M. Friday: Jacob Benbow, Tracey Grisham, Greg Hopper, Kevin Grisham, Clint Brasher, Derek Grisham, Joe Cox, and Dennis Miller. The honorary pallbearers will be Dwayne Evans, Richard Watson, Cliff Anglin, and Dalton Anglin.
