DICKENSON, Sally of Hendersonville passed away February 10, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer. Mrs. Dickenson was an energetic woman that was full of life and love. She was the foundation of the family that instilled the value and importance of family in her children and her children's children. She always had a smile on her face even through the hard times. She had a way about her that truly made you feel special. She was a devoted and giving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She enjoyed gardening, playing bridge and most of all being with her family. She was the former director of Hendersonville Bridge Club and a member of Vanderbilt Bridge Club. She was a faith based woman that attended church at Hendersonville First United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by her great-grandchild, Bryan Broom. Survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Don Dickenson; children, Donna Meade David, Debra Mason Malcolm, Darlene Sinks Tim, Mike Dickenson Tia; 9 grandchildren, Christi Broom Matt, Carrie Fogleman Jared, Adam Sinks, Earl Mason Liz, Wesley Mason, Abby Spaulding J.B, Greg Mason, Brayden Dickenson & Trinity Dickenson; 7 great-grandchildren, Hannah Broom, Bryan Broom, J.P. Mason, Isaac Mason, Evelyn Broom, SarahAnn Broom & Silas Mason; sister, Nan Blackman Bob. A Life Celebration will be held 3pm Thursday at Hendersonville Funeral Home. Visitation will be 1pm – 3pm Thursday at the funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research.
