Sadie Hurt

Sadie Avaritt Hurt was born December 22, 1908 in the Shackle Island Community of Sumner County to Robert Leon Avaritt and Kate Herring Avaritt. She was a lifelong member of Beech Cumberland Presbyterian Church and a member of the Beech Nuts. Sadie loved to quilt, crochet, grew and arranged beautiful flower arrangements. She loved her wonderful neighbors and friends who made it possible for her to remain in her home.
Visitation will be on Monday, July 28, 2014 from 11 a.m. until service time at 3 p.m. at Beech Cumberland Presbyterian Church with burial following at Beech Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by husband, Ed S. Hurt, Sr. and sons, Edd S. Hurt, Jr., Steve Hurt and Robert Hurt. Mrs. Hurt is survived by granddaughter Mary Elizabeth Nelson (Steve), Clarksville, TN and grandson Edd S. Hurt, III, Nashville, TN; great-grandchildren, Jacob Nelson and Cate Nelson.
