Ryan G. "Sarge" Malone

Ryan Garrett “Sarge” Malone, age 40, passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2023.  Sarge was born on August 13, 1983, in Washington D.C. to William J. Malone, Jr. and Karen (McCoy) Malone.

Ryan never met a stranger and always put others before himself.  On the outside, Ryan was staunch and tough, but if you knew Ryan, you knew he had the biggest heart, you knew his love and devotion to his daughter Evie, his parents, sisters, grandparents and his entire family and friends.  Ryan loved the outdoors, particularly deer hunting at his paradise on earth Lazy Hollow.  He also loved the Titans and of course the Tennessee Volunteers.  His love and laughter will be greatly missed.

Ryan is preceded in death by his grandparents Bill Malone, Marion Malone, and Lt.Col Robert L. McCoy.  He is survived by his loving daughter Everleigh Hope Malone; parents Bill and Karen Malone; sisters Colleen (Robert) Eldredge and Shannon (Austin) Duncan; grandmother Betty McCoy; aunts Patricia Cox and Jeanne Luckey; uncle Randy McCoy; nieces Shelby Eldredge and Emmalynn Eldredge; nephews William Eldredge and Abel Duncan; girlfriend Ashley Hickman as well as numerous other extended family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2023, from 4pm-6pm at Hendersonville Funeral Home.  Ryan’s ashes will be placed at his beloved Lazy Hollow at a later date.
