R.W. "George" Bookout- age 91 passed away October 3, 2016. As a young man he served our country proudly in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was also a Mason for 63 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Etta and R.W. Bookout, Sr.; wife, Clara Bookout; son, Laymon Jones; daughter-in-law, Martha Jones; brothers, Thomas, Paul, Wilson, Truman and Donald Bookout;
He is survived by, son, Billy Wayne (Carol) Bookout; grandchildren, Tonya Bookout, Tara (Joe) Fish, Ricky (Tammy) Jones, Nan Miller, Jackie (Becky) Jones and Peggy (Riley) Tramel; sisters, Mary Curtis, Lucile Williams and Evelyn Gatewood and 16 great-grandchildren; 25 great-great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life service will be held on Friday at 2pm in the Chapel of Hendersonville Funeral Home with Brother Donald Owens officiating. Burial will follow in Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
