Roy Poe

Roy A. Poe- age 76 of Hendersonville passed away June 25, 2015.
When describing Roy the words funny, loving, caring, generous, and hardworking come to mind.
Looking back over the life of Roy he had many interests and hobbies that he enjoyed. He loved Cruising and traveling in general. Some of his most favorite places to visit were Alaska, Switzerland, Yellow Stone National Park, and Hawaii just to name a few.
If he wasn't traveling he enjoyed antique show cars, watching Alabama football or Atlanta Braves baseball, and fishing.
Roy was man of faith that loved the Lord. He was a devoted family man and lived his life accordingly. He touched the lives of many throughout the years and he will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Joan E. Poe; children, Deanna (Todd) Thomason, Kerry E. (Michelle) Poe and Sandee (Darrell) Merryman; grandchildren, Tony and Tyler Thomason, Ashlee and Hunter Merryman and Kayla and Reagan Poe; great-grandchildren, Austin, Paisley and Trevor Thomason; sister, Francis Craiger.
Visitation will be held on Monday June 29, 2015 from 12-3pm at Hendersonville Funeral Home. A private service will follow.
