Ronny Payne

Ronald Leland Payne age 71 of Lebanon, TN passed from this life to eternal life on February 17, 2022. Ronny Payne was born October 25, 1950, the youngest son of Freeland Carl Payne & Artie May (Lacy) Payne of Albertville, AL. Ronny is survived by his loving wife, Elaine Batson Payne of 36 years, son, Jason (Christy) Payne of Old Hickory, TN, daughter, Amanda (Jeremy) Morrow of Lebanon, TN, and son, Logan (Sumer) Payne of Huntsville, AL. He is also survived by his sister, Lynn Robertson, of Bay Minette, AL, and brother, Donald Lee Payne, of Old Hickory, TN. He leaves behind 6 beautiful grandchildren who were his pride & joy. They are, Elijah Payne, Kayla Payne, Emory Morrow, Sloan Morrow, Patton Morrow and Jonah Payne.

Ronny was born and raised in Albertville, Alabama. Shortly after high school graduation he was drafted into the Vietnam war, where he served in combat in 1970-71, with the 101st Airborne, United States Army. A couple of years after the war he moved to Nashville, TN, where he worked as a painting contractor, married, and raised a family.

He is remembered by his family & friends as a loving father, a fully devoted follower of Christ, a man of integrity, known for excellence in all that he did.

A celebration of life service for Ronny will be held at Hendersonville Funeral Home, 353 East Main Street, on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at 1:00 PM. Visitation for family and friends will begin at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow the service at Hendersonville Memory Gardens. www.hendersonvillefh.com.
