Ronald Wood

Ronald W. Wood, age 90, of Hendersonville, TN, passed away on Monday, April 18, 2016. Ron is preceded in death by his beloved wife, D. Janice Wood, of 63 years, parents, Earl and Agnes Wood, brothers, Gordon and Danny Wood and sister-in-law Joyce Wood.

Ron is survived by his sisters, Virginia Morts and Alice McFadden (Joe), sister-in-law, Marilyn Wood, children, Kevin Wood (Emily) and Kimberly Joy Wood, grandchildren, Erin Favia (Brian), Chelsea Wood (fiancé Benjamin Robbins) and Kyle Wood (Kelsey Kuehn). Ron is also survived by many other relatives and friends.

Ron was born January 26, 1926 in Rossville, IL. He worked as a quality control manager with American Can Company. He served in the United States Navy as a Pilot Cadet. Ron was active in the Methodist church and also was an active member in the Wyndermere community. Ron enjoyed camping, boating and fishing. His favorite place to fish was in Venezuela. He also enjoyed playing and refereeing basketball, playing golf and watching football. He was an avid viewer of Fox News.

Ron was a hardworking man with a strong work ethic who was devoted to his wife and family.

A celebration of Ron's life will be held at Hendersonville Funeral Home, 353 E. Main Street in Hendersonville, on Sunday, April 24, 2016 from 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM.
