Rocky Teal-age 60 of Hendersonville, TN passed away July 22, 2017. He was born in Seaford, Delaware on September 18, 1956 to the late John and Marie Frosch Teal. Rocky will always be remembered for his love of people. He never met a stranger and everyone he ever met loved him. For 31 years he worked as an Appraiser for the Sumner County Tax Assessors office. This was more than a job for him. During his years there the employees that worked with him became his extended family. In his free time, he enjoyed thrift shopping, watching movies and texting his best friend Suzie. He also enjoyed lifting weights and coaching softball in his younger years. Rocky was a proud HHS Commando football alum. He was a wonderful husband, father, brother, uncle, son-in-law and friend to all that will be deeply missed.

Rocky is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Tina Teal; daughter, Casey Chapman (Jay); brother, Bruce Teal (Robin); sister, Debbie Breedlove (Ken); nieces and nephews, Brian Breedlove, Brock Breedlove, Chelsea Henley, Macy Marlin, Alex Teal, Addison Grimm and Erin Grimm along with his loving dog, Marvin.

A celebration of life service will be held on Monday, July 24, 2017 at 6pm in the chapel of Hendersonville Funeral Home with Larry Snow and John Isbell officiating. Visitation will be held prior from 4-6pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to Freedom Farm Animal Sanctuary PO Box 2482 Hendersonville, TN 37077.
