Mr. Robert "Pappy" Pinkerton age 79, of Gallatin, TN, passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2017.

Mr. Pinkerton was born in Chattanooga, TN, on March 21, 1938, the son of the late Herman and Ann Stewart Pinkerton. He retired from the Tennessee Department of Transportation after thirty-eight years of service. He loved his family and enjoyed traveling, Titans, Alabama, knife collecting, and antiques. In addition to his parents, Mr. Pinkerton was preceded in death by his sister, Martha Ann Alexander.

Survivors include his wife of fifty-one years, Sue Pinkerton; two daughters, Sarah Pinkerton and Shelby (Nyronn) Bryant; and four grandchildren, Robert Kasy Barham, Kennady Barham, Bryson Bryant, and Jaiden Bryant.

A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, November 1, 2017, at 11:00 A.M. (CST), Hendersonville Funeral Home. Graveside and Interment Service will be held Thursday at 1:00 P.M. (EST), Forest Hills Cemetery in Chattanooga, TN.

Gathering of Family & Friends will be held Tuesday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. (CST) and Wednesday from 9:00 A.M. until the funeral hour at Hendersonville Funeral Home.
