Mr. Robert Reese Kirkpatrick, Sr.; age 88, of Hendersonville, TN, passed away on December 19, 2019 in Nashville, TN. He was born on April 26, 1931 to the late William Leroy Kirkpatrick and Mary Ellen Davy Kirkpatrick. He is also preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Mrs. Rose Marie Kirkpatrick; siblings, Bill Kirkpatrick, Winnie Boone, Margaret Kirkpatrick, Jim Kirkpatrick, John Kirkpatrick, Richard Kirkpatrick, and Agnes Kirkpatrick.

Robert had a very contagious smile and loved meeting new people. He drove a school bus for Sumner County for 30 years and was referred to as, Mayor of Goshentown. Robert enjoyed being outside on his farm, taking care of his cows, and tending to his garden. He was an amazing dad, father in law, grandpa, great grandpa, and friend who will be truly missed.

Robert is survived by his children, Robert, Jr. (Melanie) Kirkpatrick, Davy Kirkpatrick, Paul (Melodie) Kirkpatrick and Ann Kirkpatrick; grandchildren, Rob, III (Heather) Kirkpatrick, Ryan Kirkpatrick and Luree Rose Kirkpatrick; great-granddaughter, Meredith Kirkpatrick; and one sister, Kathleen Gregory.

A funeral Mass for Robert will be held on Monday December 23rd at 12:00PM at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with interment to follow in Hendersonville Memory Gardens. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home beginning on Sunday December 22nd at Hendersonville Funeral Home from 5:00PM to 8:00PM. Visitation will continue the following morning at Our Lady of the Lake from 11:00AM until Funeral Mass at 12:00PM.
