BRUGMAN, Robert William, age 80, passed away October 21, 2011 surrounded by his loving family. Robert was born on October 17, 1931 in Detroit Michigan. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother. In his younger years he served our country in the Air Force. After his tour of service he went on to work for General Motors on the Parade of Progress. Following his Father's death he returned to Detroit and worked for General Motors Air Transport Section as an aircraft electrician. Among many things he enjoyed traveling. He was also an active member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church and helped establish Boy Scout troop 157. He is preceded in death by siblings, Elmer LaFevre, Edward Brugman, Doris Harding, and Gerald Brugman. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Claire Ruth Brugman; children, Kathy Bruce Grieves, Karen Joey Cook, and Bill Terri Brugman; Grandchildren, Robert, Kristi, Charles, Emily, Hannah, Jeremy, Sam, and Great Grandson Jacob; sisters, Janet Brodzik and Marian Schooley. A life celebration will held at 2:00 p.m. on November 26, 2011 at St. Timothy Lutheran Church 650 East Main St. Hendersonville, TN 37075 with the Rev. Lewis A. Groce officiating. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Boy Scout troop 157 of St. Timothy Lutheran Church.
