MSGT. Robert Owen Avant, USAF, Ret., 88, of Hendersonville, TN passed through heaven's gate on Tuesday, February 7, 2017. He was born to the late Walter and Mattie Avant in Hendersonville, TN on January, 30 1929.

Robert is survived by children, Debbie Green, Bob Avant, and Marj (Mike) Deason; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his loving wife of sixty-two years, Jeannine Avant. He will be remembered by serving his country as a Master Sargent in the U.S. Air Force where he retired after a 20 year career. He was a faithful member of the Beech Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in loving memory of Mr. Robert Avant to the Beech Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 3216 Long Hollow Pk., Hendersonville, TN.

Life Celebration services will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at 3p.m. in the Chapel of Hendersonville Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, February 9, 2017 from 1p.m. until the hour of service.
