Riki Dean Reece, 70, of Hendersonville, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 20th, 2019. Riki was a homeless United States Army veteran who was well known to the Hendersonville community. Riki took up his post everyday on Indian Lake Boulevard at the WalMart entrance, where he would sell the Contributor newspaper. Riki always had a smile and a wave to those who passed by him and was always willing to engage in conversation.

A memorial service to honor Riki will be held at Hendersonville Funeral Home on Friday, May 24th at 10:00AM. Following the service, Riki will be laid to rest with Military Honors in the Cremation Garden at Hendersonville Memory Gardens. Due to Riki not having any known family, we ask that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to any Veteran's organization.
