WITZBERGER, Rick, age 55, went to be with the Lord on October 24, 2014. He was born on June 16, 1959 in Akron, Ohio to Ray & Barbara Witzberger. He grew up in Akron, Ohio and married his high school sweetheart in 1980. He moved to Hendersonville, Tennessee in 1992 with his wife, Terri, and children, Jeremy & Krystal. Rick owned the Z-Coil store in Hendersonville and attended Life Church. Rick had a love for various types of clocks, and loved to attend Nascar races at Bristol and work in his flower gardens; however, the most important part of his life was his family & friends. There wasn't a weekend that went by when he wasn't playing with his grandchildren, McKenzie & Rowdy Gaines. Rowdy couldn't say Witzberger and called Rick his "Papaw Booger." His favorite saying to his daughter when she would complain about his doing & giving everything to his grandchildren was, "Spoil them rotten and send them home." His grandchildren were everything to him. Rick had a very vibrant personality and never knew a stranger. Rick is survived by his loving wife, Terri, whom he was married to for 34 years; parents, Ray & Barbara Witzberger of Akron, Ohio; children, Jeremy Witzberger and Krystal (Brandon) Gaines (Witzberger); grandchildren McKenzie & Rowdy Gaines and brother, Steve Witzberger.
The family will receive friends on Monday October 27, 2014 from 4pm-8pm and on Tuesday October 28, 2014 from 10am-12pm at Hendersonville Funeral Home. A life celebration service will be held at 12p.m. on Tuesday with Pastor Joel Wilkie officiating at Hendersonville Funeral Home 353 Johnny Cash Pkwy Hendersonville, TN 37075 (615) 824-3855 hendersonvillefh.com
