Richard Thomas Cambron, age 56, passed away on April 4, 2019.
He will be remembered most for his love for his son Nicholas.
Rick Cambron was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Lou Field Cambron and his brother, Robert A. Cambron. He is survived by his son, Nicholas Thomas Cambron; his wife, Becky L. Cambron; and step daughter, Ashley T. Cauley. Also surviving him are his father, Thomas Rudd Cambron; two brothers, Donald W. Cambron (Cheryl) of Soddy Daisy, TN, and Mark E. Cambron (Connie) of Goodlettsville, TN; and 7 nieces and nephews.
Rick was born in Lexington, KY. He was a biostatistician in the pharmaceutical industry. He graduated from Father Ryan High School in Nashville. Rick graduated from the University of Pennsylvania where he was a Benjamin Franklin Scholar. Rick earned M.S. degrees from both Western Kentucky University and the University of Kentucky. He was an avid UK basketball fan. Rick was an Eagle Scout. He was an avid gamer, loving anything from a simple card game to a complex board game. He almost always had a puzzle book and pen in hand. Rick was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Funeral Mass will be held Monday, April 8, 2019, at 6:00 P.M. at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. The visitation will be held at 4:30 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at the Church. Interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Louisville, KY.
In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests memorial contributions be made to Skymont Scout Reservation, 6031 Lee Highway, Chattanooga, TN 37421.
