Raymond Morris Vandiver, 71, passed peacefully with family and loved ones at his bedside on January 13, 2017. Raymond was born March 2, 1945 to the late Jessie and Christine (Earp) Vandiver.
He is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Connie (McCormick) Vandiver; sister, Gloria Kay Harris of Fayetteville, Arkansas; daughter, Alisa Rawlings and her husband Kirk of Kansas City, Missouri; two grandchildren, Josie and Kelby Rawlings; and nephew, Mark and wife Donna (Gay) Harris of Ashville, North Carolina.
Raymond graduated from Isaac Litton High School. He then attended MTSU, Murfreesboro for a year and then decided to go into business for himself as a commercial electrical contractor. He started V & C Electrical Contractors where he served as president since 1982. Raymond's hobby was boating and anything associated with being on the water. He also loved the challenges of designing electrical projects.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 11 am to 1 pm at Hendersonville Funeral Home. A Life Celebration service will follow the visitation at 1pm Tuesday. Burial will follow at Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Organization.
