Mr. Raymond Marcum age 86, of Hendersonville, TN, passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2018.

Mr. Marcum was born in Middlesboro, KY, on May 18, 1932, the son of the late Joseph Lawrence Marcum and Flossie Mae Brooks Marcum. He was a native of Middlesboro, KY and moved to Nashville in 1942 and lived there until he moved to Hendersonville, TN in 1966. Mr. Marcum served in the United States Navy during the Korean War and was a member of Hendersonville First Baptist Church. Ray retired from Long Lines Department of AT&T after twenty-nine years of service. Also, he was a licensed realtor for forty-six years. Ray was a Lifetime Member of the Million Dollar Sales Club of the Greater Nashville Association of Realtors and the Sumner County Association of Realtors. In addition to his parents, Mr. Marcum was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah English; a great-granddaughter, Autumn; three sisters, Helen Littebrant, Hazel Kerr, and Lorene Woodall; and a brother, Joe Marcum.

Survivors include his wife, Juanita Marcum of sixty-three years; two daughters, Sandra (Tim) Woodard and Sharon Estes; a son-in-law, David English, Sr.; eight grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and a half-sister, Kathy Marcum (Eddie) Malone.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, October 5, 2018, at noon, Hendersonville Funeral Home with Rev. Reid Wilkerson officiating. Interment will follow at Hendersonville Memory Gardens.

Gathering of Family & Friends will be held Thursday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the funeral hour at Hendersonville Funeral Home.
