Ray Hendrix Williams of Hendersonville Tennessee went peacefully to be with the Lord on Monday, March 8, 2021 at the age of 94. Ray proudly served his country in the US Navy and later dedicated his career to serving his community as a member of the Metro Nashville Fire Department where he retired as Deputy Chief. He was a story-teller, an avid movie watcher and always had a love of technology -- repairing computers until his last days.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years Marion Denney Williams; parents Emmett Hendrix Williams and Clara Snow Williams Allen; sister Alma Williams Copland and brothers Hoyt, Dick and Billy Williams. Ray is survived by nephews Steven Wayne Williams (Patsy) and Ronald Ray Williams and nieces Linda Williams Loy and Beverly Williams Stypula. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 10 from 11am-1pm at Hendersonville Memory Gardens and Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service for family at 1pm.
